Hello!

I am a PhD candidate at Arizona State University with Katey Cooper and Sara Brownell. I am driven in my research by issues of equity and inclusion in higher education, especially in the sciences. My current research projects include investigating the extent to which undergraduates have instructor role models with concealable stigmatized identities, assessing the impact on students from an instructor revealing their LGBTQ+ identity during class, and exploring the ways in which research and teaching exacerbate and alleviate graduate students' depression or anxiety and conversely how graduate students' depression or anxiety affects their experiences in graduate school. Outside of research, you can find me trying new recipes, exploring outside, or honing my sewing skills.
